England star Tyrone Mings has admitted the players aren’t happy after their 0-0 draw with Scotland on Friday. And he’s also admitted that his Aston Villa team-mate John McGinn is ‘annoying’ to play against. The Three Lions failed to build on their victory over Croatia, settling for a point at Wembley.
England went into the match against Scotland as favourites, especially after being Croatia last time out courtesy of Raheem Sterling’s goal.
But it was a torrid evening for Gareth Southgate’s side, who were easily shackled by the auld enemy on a chastening night at Wembley.
England hit the post through John Stones in the first half, with the Manchester City star licking the woodwork with a powerful header that crashed away to safety.
However, that chance aside, the Three Lions created precious little – and could even have lost if it wasn’t for the brilliance of Reece James and Jordan Pickford.
And Mings, fronting up to the cameras after the game, has admitted the hosts weren’t at their best.
