England's players were seen taking a team walk outside their hotel near Watford on Sunday as Gareth Southgate's side prepare to contest the Euro 2020 final against Italy at Wembley.

The Three Lions are under pressure to bring it home in front of their own fans, but this will be England's first-ever European Championship decider while the Azzurri are set to make their fourth appearance in the fixture.

Southgate's men have emerged as slight favourites after conceding only once en route to the final, having been spared the same gruelling travel schedule most other teams at the tournament were subjected to.

The final hosts have a lot running in their favour to go on and end their 55-year wait for a major title, but knowing that may only add to the burden some among the squad will feel facing Italy.

England's national-team stars looked relaxed ahead of their climactic encounter with the Azzurri, and some members of the public were incredulous after coming across the players.

One woman out of shot remarked: "Oh, wow, this is amazing," while others present encouraged Harry Kane & Co. with cheers of "It's coming home."

Southgate could be seen bringing up the rearguard alongside some of his coaching staff, signalling a thumbs up to some of those present, with a generally laid-back mood about the group.

The squad was rocked on Saturday after it emerged Phil Foden was in a race to be fit for the final having suffered a minor injury during training.

The Manchester City star missed Saturday's sessions in what was hardly ideal preparation for the final, casting doubt as to whether he'd be involved against Italy at all.

Captain Kane is England's top scorer on four goals while Raheem Sterling has three, and either player could feasibly match the current top-scorer tally of five.

Roberto Mancini has guided Italy to a national-team record of 33 games unbeaten ahead of their final against England, who have avoided defeat in their last 12 consecutive outings.

The Azzurri—crowned kings of Europe in 1968—have overcome England on each of the four occasions they've met at a major international tournament.

That's just another first Southgate will hope to achieve when he leads the Three Lions out at Wembley on Sunday evening.
