Jordan Henderson was denied a last-kick winner for Liverpool because of the tightest of VAR offside calls.
Everton's unbeaten record continued after Sadio Mane was deemed offside in the build-up – but only seemingly by a matter of an arm hair.
Mane had got Liverpool off to the perfect start, firing home within just three minutes.
A lively start was added to when Jordan Pickford escaped a certain red card for a horror tackle on Virgil van Dijk, which forced the Liverpool defender off with a knee injury.

Went close with a good strike and then cross led to second on fine display.
As usual did his job quietly, important pass for second goal.
Some moments of magic with the ball and outstanding vision on first start.
There when it mattered to fire Liverpool in front with his 100th goal for the club.
Will have wanted to be involved more in the game but some nice passages of play.
