Everton ‘remain interested in Brazil forward Everton Soares’ after holding transfer meeting as Carlo Ancelotti looks to bolster his squad this month

  • Everton Soares has reportedly attracted interest from a host of European clubs
  • Borussia Dortmund are said to be keen, as are Premier League outfit Everton
  • Gremio star could still move to Goodison Park, according to reports in Brazil
  • The 23-year-old has 47 goals and 16 assists in 177 games for his current club

Everton retain an interest in signing Gremio star Everton Soares before the transfer window closes, according to Brazilian outlet UOL.

The Toffees have reportedly been keeping tabs on the Brazil forward, who has 14 caps and three goals for his country, for some time.

Speculation about a move for the 23-year-old had died down recently, but UOL claim that Everton is still an option for Carlo Ancelotti this month.

The new report says that club officials recently held a transfer meeting, in which it was agreed that a deal for the striker, who is also said to be a target for Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, was still a possibility.

Last week Gremio revealed that there had been no concrete offers for their star man, despite talk of a big money move to Goodison Park.

‘Everton at Everton is a situation that is coming up more intensely,’ executive director Klauss Camara told Correio do Povo.
