IT took an incredible 90th minute goal from Angel Di Maria to save PSG from a home loss to Napoli in the Champions League on Thursday morning.
The curling strike nabbed a 2-2 draw for the star-studded French champions who would have fallen off the pace in their group had they gone down.
Liverpool moved to the top of that group with a 4-0 demolition of Red Star Belgrade as their esteemed front three rediscovered their goal scoring touch.
In Group A, Borussia Dortmund made a massive statement by going three from three via a 4-0 shellacking of Atletico Madrid. Earlier, Monaco and Brugge played out a 1-1 draw.

PSG 2-2 NAPOLI
Angel Di Maria rescued Paris Saint-Germain with a superb injury- time equalizer to salvage a 2-2 home draw with Napoli in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The Argentina winger curled the ball past goalkeeper David Ospina into the top left corner to spare PSG a second loss in Group C.
Despite the 93rd-minute equalizer, PSG star Neymar seemed frustrated with the result.
Cavani tackles Neymar0:00
Football: A mix-up in the box saw Neymar tackled as he looked to rifle off a shot against Napoli in the Champions League… by his own teammate Edinson Cavani!
The Brazil forward marched straight off without shaking anybody’s hands and kicked a plastic object. Forward Lorenzo Insigne put Napoli ahead in the 29th minute with a cool finish and PSG equalized in the 61st when Napoli defender Mario Rui scored an own goal. Belgium forward Dries Mertens poked home from close range in the 77th after a sloppy mistake from center half Marquinhos, who failed to deal with a looping ball into the penalty area.
BARCELONA 2-0 INTER
Rafinha replaced Lionel Messi and helped Barcelona win without him as the Brazilian scored the opener in a 2-0 Champions League victory over Inter Milan on Wednesday.
With Messi out for three weeks and Real Madrid next up at the Camp Nou on Sunday, the question was whether Barca could cope without their star player and captain.

DORTMUND 4-0 ATLETICO
Real Madrid’s Achraf Hakimi helped Borussia Dortmund defeat his club’s rival Atletico Madrid by setting up three goals in a 4-0 win in the Champions League on Wednesday.
It was Atletico’s heaviest defeat of the season so far, and the worst in the Champions League with Diego Simeone as coach. The Europa League champions had only conceded five goals in nine Spanish League games.
Hakimi, who joined Dortmund on loan for two seasons in the summer, pulled the ball back for Axel Witsel to break the deadlock in the 39th minute and sent it back into the center for Raphael Guerreiro in the 73rd, 10 minutes before he set up Jadon Sancho to seal the win with a tap-in.
There was still time for Guerreiro to grab his second after a botched backpass from Filipe Luis in the 89th.

Tottenham had recovered from giving away a first-half goal and looked headed toward a 2-1 victory until goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was sent off in the 79th minute for fouling Hirving Lozano, who had earlier capitalized on a mistake by Toby Alderweireld to put PSV ahead.
Christian Eriksen, making his first start after a month out with an abdominal injury, was involved in the buildup for Lucas Moura’s equalizer and set up Harry Kane for Spurs’ second.

LOKOMOTIV MOSCOW 1-3 PORTO
Porto recovered from a shaky start to beat Lokomotiv Moscow 3-1 on Wednesday, opening up a gap at the top of its Champions League group. A penalty save from Iker Casillas and a goal-line clearance kept Porto from going behind early on, before Moussa Marega scored from a 26th-minute penalty at the other end after a foul by Lokomotiv’s Eder.
GALATASARAY 0-0 SCHALKE
The two teams played out a scoreless draw.
BRUGGE 1-1 MONACO
An injury-hit Monaco failed to give Thierry Henry his first win as a head coach with a 1-1 Champions League draw at Club Brugge on Wednesday.
Moussa Sylla raised hopes of Monaco ending an 11-match winless streak by opening the scoring just after the half-hour mark at the Jan Breydel Stadium, but Wesley struck for the Belgian champions to secure a point.
The principality club have now also gone 11 Champions League games without a victory since their thrilling 6-3 aggregate triumph over Borussia Dortmund in the 2016-17 quarter-finals.
