It has been 1,221 days since Manchester United were last top of the English Premier League (EPL) table. On Tuesday (Jan 12), they reached the summit again by winning 1-0 at Burnley to knock champions Liverpool off the perch.
No trophies are handed out for being top of the league mid-season, but it remains an achievement for a team that were languishing in 15th place with just seven points from their first six games after being beaten 1-0 by Arsenal on Nov 2.
