Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Manchester United already have a very good idea of how the squad will look at the start of next season. Despite still competing on two fronts between now and May, the United boss has admitted plans are already in place for this summer’s window.
“Of course, we have a plan ahead,” he stated earlier this week. “A plan that we think is going to happen.
“Two months is a long time in football as well, things might change. There are obviously a couple of players that the future’s not decided yet.
“Some without contracts, some with contracts.
“We do have a certain picture of what the squad’s going to look like in August when we start.”
Here are four players that Express Sport belive could still throw a spanner into Solskaer’s plans between now and the window opening.

The Ivorian continues to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford and with just 15 months remaining on his current deal, he appears a prime candidate to move on.
Bailly has been frustrated by a lack of minutes this season, as Solskjaer continues with his first choice pairing of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof.
Negotiations are ongoing in regards to a new contract and should he get an opportunity and take it, he could be tempted to agree to terms.
Signing a new deal with the club could yet persuade Solskjaer to stay out of the pricey centre-back market.

This time just four months ago, Lingard’s future at his boyhood club looked decidely bleak. But after shining on-loan at West Ham, there has been a clamour for him to be handed another a chance.
Solskjaer has refused to close the door on a return for the England international, and should he continue with his current form, Lingard could still have a chance to shine at United.
Undoubtedly the biggest story surrounding Manchester United’s summer window will be whether Paul Pogba remains with the club.
The speculation surrounding his future has been incessant, ever since agent Mino Raiola confirmed he would push for a move.
Should he seal an exit, it will likely ensure a number of new arrivals would be needed to cover in his absence.
His recent impact has proven his importance to Solskjaer’s squad and should he continue that for the next month and a half, United may be forced to do everything they can to keep the World Cup winner.
United continue to be linked with a central striker. Erling Haaland is believed to be the top target, but regardless, a player in that position is set to be pursued.
Unless of course, Martial can prove once and for all he is a long-term option leading the line.
Against Manchester City, he looked every bit a Premier League No 9. What he needs to prove now is a level of consistency.
