Micah Richards tweeted what everyone else was thinking after Steven Gerrard was appointed as Aston Villa’s new manager on Thursday.
Richards and his fellow Sky Sports pundits Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville waste no time in mocking each other on Twitter as well as on TV.

Micah Richards has questioned whether Carragher will ‘protect’ Gerrard from criticism
He tweeted: ‘I wonder if is @Carra23 is gonna protect Gerrard like @GNev2 protects Solskjaer… but that’s not my business.’
Richards was of course referring to Neville admitting that he refuses to call for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be sacked by Manchester United because he is his ‘mate’.
Carragher has repeatedly called Neville out on that fact as he instead has told United to get rid of Solskjaer, but he may now find himself in an awkward position with a friend of his in a Premier League managerial role.
