Antoine Griezmann has been tipped to play in the Premier League at some point in the future – but the Barcelona star already claims to be a "pantheon of English football".
Griezmann, who is currently gearing up for this summer's all-important European Championships with France, was recently linked with a move to Liverpool and has previously been on Manchester United's radar.
However, the closest he is getting to Premier League football right now is on Football Manager.
While flying to Paris with the rest of the France squad for their final warm-up outing against Bulgaria on Tuesday night, the 30-year-old showed off his impressive achievements on the game in charge of Newcastle.
In a clip posted by France, Griezmann holds up his laptop and says to team-mate Ousmane Dembele: "I'll show you my 2027 prize list, with Newcastle!
"Premier League champions, FA Cup, Champions League, Community Shield and Super Cup.
"Five titles, what a coach!
"I am in the pantheon of English football!"
Griezmann then shouts out to Paris St-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe and tells him: "I've got you for Newcastle. I bought you for £134million."
Mbappe then retorts: "It's not hot there, eh?"
Griezmann is not the only France star to take a liking to Football Manager in recent years, with Dembele also spotted playing it in the past.
Before a friendly clash with the Ivory Coast in 2016, the then-Borussia Dortmund star revealed he had signed for Liverpool on the popular game.
He then used his downtime at the 2018 World Cup in Russia by attempting to take the lesser known Winchester FC to virtual glory.
