Erling Haaland may have dropped a transfer hint before Borussia Dortmund's Champions League quarter-final defeat to Manchester City on Tuesday.
City are expected to be one of the teams in the race to sign hotshot Haaland in this summer's transfer window – although they are set to face competition from neighbours Chelsea as well as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Barcelona.
The 20-year-old wasn't able to add to his incredible scoring record in Tuesday's first leg against City – although he did make a potentially crucial intervention when he set up Marco Reus' goal late in the game.
The 84th-minute strike from Reus cancelled out Kevin de Bruyne's first-half opener, and while Phil Foden scored an even later winner, Dortmund's away goal at the Etihad could prove pivotal ahead of next week's second leg.
After the game, Haaland could be seen covering his mouth as he chatted to Foden in a moment which had City fans salivating over a potential move for the Norway striker to the blue side of Manchester this summer.
But a moment before Tuesday's match kicked off has also been seized on as a potential transfer hint.
As the Dortmund players emerged from the tunnel at the Etihad, it was noticed that Haaland stepped around the City badge on the ground in front of him, rather than walking over it as his team-mates did.
A clip of the moment was posted on Twitter by a City fan account – with the suggestion being that Haaland was showing respect for the club's badge.
Of course, Haaland's dad Alf-Inge played for City, so it's reasonable that the striker would hold the club in high esteem – whether or not he chooses to join Pep Guardiola's side this summer.
Where Haaland's future lies remains to be seen – but for now, plenty of City fans on Twitter were happy to see it as a sign that the much-coveted forward could be on his way to the Etihad to replace departing legend Sergio Aguero.
