Mason Mount has shown off his astonishing body transformation as he displayed his new muscular physique before returning to Chelsea for pre-season.
The midfielder, who has won consecutive player of the year awards at Chelsea, first emerged as a regular in the Blues’ first team under Frank Lampard as a diminutive playmaker seemingly with a lot of development to go but has transformed himself into one of the formative players at the club through both his physicality and technical quality.
The value of Mount to Chelsea has been made evident by the current contract stand off between the two parties, with time being taken to ensure Mount is awarded the best deal for his performances in a blue shirt.

A photo emerged of Mount flexing his physique, with fans all over social media marvelling at his body transformation.
One account tweeted: ‘Mason Mount has been putting in work,’ accompanied by a bicep emoji.
While another joked that it appeared as though Kyle Walker and Eden Hazard had had a son.
Another queried what ‘these young lads’ eat after going to the gym, seemingly in amazement at Mount’s transformation from 2019 to the present day.

Others joked that he had been ‘Bayernised’, in a reference to the apparent muscular physique that many players who play for the German giants are in. Notable examples of this include Leon Goretzka and Serge Gnabry.
‘A move to Bayern Munich happening soon or maybe he trained with Bayern Munich already,’ one supporter joked.
Another complimented Mount, writing: ‘Dude had been hitting the gym, he looks good.’
Mount is set to return to Chelsea soon for the start of pre-season as part of the second tranche of players alongside his fellow internationals within the squad.
It is set to be a big season for Mount, with the player likely to form a key part of Tuchel’s new-look Chelsea side as well as playing an important role for Gareth Southgate and England when the World Cup kicks off in November.
