Jadon Sancho’s latest stance over Man Utd transfer having agreed terms in July

Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho is reportedly holding out hope that he will join Manchester United this summer, having already agreed personal terms with the Red Devils.

The saga surrounding Sancho's future has dragged on and looks set to go down to the wire, with the deadline rapidly approaching.

Dortmund have been adamant that they want £108m for the England international while United have been unwilling to pay that fee.

And with Sancho's future still up in the air, the player is said to want the move to go through but he is prepared to stay at Dortmund if they decide not to sell him.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano posted an update about the deal on Twitter, writing: "Sancho deal between Manchester United and BVB is still at the same point, right now. BVB always asked for €120m or nothing – it’s up to #MUFC.

"One of the backup options is Ousmane Démbélé – Man Utd are negotiating with Barça, offering a loan and trying to convince the player."

A fan then asked whether Sancho was pushing for the move to go through before the October 5 deadline and Romano claimed that, although the winger wants to move to Old Trafford, he will happily stay at Dortmund if the deal falls through.

"Sancho agreed personal terms by July with Man United… he’s still on his position," Romano then added. "If BVB sell me, I’ll be so happy to join Man United [he has an agreement… obviously he *wants* to move, this is not new].

"If they don’t, I’ll stay here at BVB and I’ll respect the club."

When asked about Sancho after United's Carabao Cup win over Brighton on Wednesday, Red Devils boss Solskjaer said: "I don't comment on other teams' players. I can't concern myself with other clubs.

"I know the club is working well and hard to have a strong squad as possible. Sometimes speculation is there and we can't control that."
