Juventus take drastic step in attempt to force Paulo Dybala to accept Man Utd deal

Dybala has been linked with a move to Old Trafford with Juventus keen to sign Romelu Lukaku.

It’s believed Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would welcome Dybala to his team with the Norwegian looking to strengthen the Red Devils.

But Dybala is understood to be keen to stay at Juve and has doubts about moving to United, who will not play in the Champions League this season.

And Sky Sport Italia claim Dybala has been forced to train alone with Juventus also transfer listing the forward.

Manchester United only have until 5pm on Thursday to make any more signings with the transfer window slamming shut before the season begins.

Harry Maguire is expected to be confirmed in the coming days, though Solskjaer hasn’t ruled out making further signings.

The Norwegian said: “As a club we’ve had targets and we’re working on a few cases, but as a coach and manager when you go out on the pitch, you work with the ones you have.

“You can’t think ‘what if he comes’ and ‘what if he’s sold’, you have to work with the ones you have, the reality is.

“I’ve never been thinking ‘I’ll play him, but he’s coming in’.

“We always get linked with big names and loads of names.

“We still hope deals can be done, but you never know in the last week of the transfer window.”

It’s been claimed that Dybala has spoken to current Juventus team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo over a move to United.

Ronaldo made a name for himself at Old Trafford before joining Real Madrid in 2009.

Sky Italy reporter Fabrizio Romano said: ““For sure, for sure they spoke.

“Paulo is a big fan of Cristiano and Cristiano always said he likes Dybala so much, he’s a big fan.

“Also on the pitch they have a good feeling, so for sure they spoke.

“I don’t know what they said to each other but I am for sure I know Cristiano if he had to suggest to Paulo, he would say to go to Manchester United.

“Cristiano always said [he had a] fantastic relationship with Manchester United fans and everyone at Manchester United.

“So if they spoke, this is the reality. But at the moment, the decision is just of Paulo.”
