Liverpool eye Ferran Torres transfer battle with Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona

Liverpool are reportedly ready to fight Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona for the signature of Valencia star Ferran Torres.

The 19-year-old winger is one of the hottest prospects in La Liga and is attracting the interest of several of Europe’s top clubs.

His performances this year have earned him a nomination for for the Golden Boy award, handed to the best player in Europe under the age of 21.

Torres broke through the ranks at Valencia in 2017 and has already become the youngest player in the club’s history to make 50 appearances.

His contract with the Spanish giants runs until the summer of 2021 but he could be made available for €20m (£17m) next summer.

And, according to SportBild, Liverpool are monitoring the youngster and are ready to battle with Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona to sign him.

Should the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino get injured, the team would likely find it difficult to replicate the form they show then they are all available.

Jurgen Klopp opted against bringing in any reinforcements in the summer but will surely add to the squad in January and/or next summer.

Liverpool have also been strongly linked with a move for RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner in the coming months, while other targets are said to be being identified.
