Liverpool have offered fans a unique behind-the-scenes look at the day Thiago Alcantara officially signed on the dotted line at Anfield.

The midfielder had his £25m transfer from Bayern Munich confirmed on Friday, with Thiago signing a four-year deal with the champions.

Jurgen Klopp quickly handed him his Premier League debut, coming off the bench in the 2-0 win at Chelsea.

But just 48-hours before that, the 29-year-old, completed formalities on a historic day for the Reds.

And now, on the club’s social media channels, Liverpool have provided supporters a glimpse at what happened, before he was announced last week.

Liverpool’s new No.6 then carried out a few lighthearted moments in the dressing rooms, before showing son Gabriel his new shirt over a video call.

It was then time for the famous walk under the ‘This is Anfield’ sign, a trademark picture for any Liverpool player.

Thiago was then given a quick introduction to the creative nature of the supporters of his new team, when he was showed the Gibson Brothers' ‘Cuba’ song that has gone viral with his name included.

In a second video, the player himself documents his journey to Merseyside starting with his flight to England.

It was while he was in the air, that he described the chance to work under Klopp as an “amazing” opportunity.

He was given an Anfield tour after signing, but will have to wait to play in front of a full Kop, with the government confirming any plans for fans to return will be paused indefinitely.

For now, it is a potential full debut against Lincoln City in the EFL Cup on Thursday, before he trots out in his new home stadium for the first time next week vs Arsenal.
