Liverpool may have a path to signing Ryan Gravenberch with the midfielder in a reported disagreement with Thomas Tuchel over his role at Bayern Munich for this season. The Reds reacted to the disappointment of missing out on Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo by signing Wataru Endo in a £16million deal.
But there’s an expectation that Liverpool will return to the market for one more deal with Jurgen Klopp hoping to bring in another midfielder to help provide cover. Endo is seen as a player who fits what Liverpool needed to help fill the No 6 role, but Gravenberch is seen as a top talent who can further bolster Liverpool’s options in midfield.
The Dutchman has been linked with a move to Anfield all summer long, but Bayern have insisted the midfielder is not for sale. Gravenberch joined Bayern last summer from Ajax, but he went on to start just one Bundesliga game for the German side.
He’s had to make do with a role on the bench once again to start this campaign and has been unused in Bayern’s opening two matches. And German outlet Abend Zeitung suggest Gravenberch has been rubbed up the wrong way by comments made by Tuchel over his future role with the side.
Speaking about Gravenberch’s lack of minutes, Tuchel said: “He only came off the bench in the friendlies and that’s his role at the moment.” Gravenberch reportedly disagrees with Tuchel’s stance and he’s ‘not averse to change’ with Liverpool contemplating a late bid.
The Reds are named as the frontrunners for his signature should Gravenberch push for a move away from the Allianz Arena. It’s been suggested that the 21-year-old would be available for just £22m, but Liverpool aren’t alone in showing an interest.

Manchester United are also keeping an eye on Gravenberch’s situation as the Red Devils look at Sofyan Amrabat alternatives. Klopp has already confirmed the club aren’t finished in the transfer window in regards to incomings following the signing of Endo.
But the German coach insists no player will be leaving amid rumours of Mohamed Salah, Alisson and Thiago Alcantara attracting interest from Saudi Arabia clubs.
“The window is still open and until then pretty much everything can happen,” Klopp said. “On the outgoing side, nothing will happen. Incoming, there is still time so let’s have a look.”
