Man United, Chelsea and Tottenham ‘keep tabs on Gent wonderkid Gift Orban after sending scouts to watch him’, although Premier League rivals will have to stump up a ‘huge fee’ to sign him this summer

  • Gift Orban has scored 19 goals in 19 games this season for Belgian side Gent
  • As a result, several Premier League sides dispatched scouts to watch him
  • Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham are all keeping tabs on the ace

Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham have all sent scouts to watch Gent striker Gift Orban, according to reports, although a move will cost a ‘huge fee’.

Scoring sensation Orban has netted 19 goals from 19 games so far this season in the Belgian Pro League and Europa Conference League and attracted big-name interest.

Currently, the highly-rated youngster averages a goal every 75 minutes, while his impressive record of a strike every game includes nine domestic efforts.

Orban played for his side in both legs of their Conference League quarter-final defeat by West Ham last month and appears poised to move this summer.

His breakthrough campaign has also seen him cement Gent’s spot in Europe for next season, with the 20-year-old bagging five times in three play-off matches.

A host of Premier League clubs reportedly sent scouts to watch Gent striker Gift Orban

Now, the Evening Standard have claimed a host of clubs are keeping tabs on him.

United, Chelsea and Spurs are all believed to be openly scouting for forward reinforcements ahead of the window opening, and Orban certainly fits the bill.

However, Gent have no need to offload one of their key assets and only signed him from Norwegian side Stabaek at the end of January on a deal running until 2027.

Consequently, they would only be tempted to sell if a sizeable package is tabled.

The same outlet adds that Orban is content to stay and develop further in Belgium.

However, his club have no need to offload the frontman and would demand a sizeable fee

United may well be leading the chase, with Nieuwsblad reporting their scouts were in the stands to watch the forward score a hat-trick against Cercle Brugge.

Orban scored his first two goals clinically, while his third came after he latched onto a long ball forward and lofted a sublime first-time chip over the goalkeeper.

United are expected to pursue either Spurs’ record scorer Harry Kane or Napoli hotshot Victor Osimhen this summer, although their takeover remains in limbo.
