Man Utd and Liverpool have ‘called Bayern’ to discuss transfer of midfielder
Liverpool and Manchester United have both enquired about the availability of Bayern Munich's Ryan Gravenberch.
Gravenberch was once one of Europe's top talents at Ajax, but a move to Bayern Munich hasn't helped to fulfil his potential – but, at just 21-years-old, he could still rediscover his feet. And both the Red Devils and Liverpool are interested in his services.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano – both sides have 'called Bayern' over the past week to chat about Gravenberch. However, Bayern are reluctant to sell their young Dutchman to either side this summer.
The Reds have been after a new midfielder all summer, but they were dealt two heavy transfer blows by Chelsea. Jurgen Klopp's side missed out on both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia in recent days to the Blues.

Liverpool had been lowballing Southampton over Lavia, before they submitted a £111million bid for Caicedo. Brighton accepted the bid, but Caicedo opted to join Chelsea, and a couple of days later Lavia made the same decision.
The Reds have now turned their attention to signing Stuttgart's No.6 Wataru Endo – but they could still move for Gravenberch.

Meanwhile, United have been in search of a new midfielder, and Gravenberch has already played under Erik ten Hag at the Dutch giants.
However, the Red Devils' top target remains Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat, who wowed fans with his performances for Morocco at the World Cup last December.
