Manchester United have two midfielders on their radar and have contacted a Borussia Dortmund player about a move during this month's January transfer window, according to reports.
United interim boss Ralf Rangnick is facing his first crisis at the club following the 1-0 Premier League loss to Wolves at Old Trafford on Monday night and may now move to sign a player from Bruno Lage's side.
The Red Devils are said to be "determined" to bring in Ruben Neves before the transfer window closes as Rangnick looks to address his side's issues in midfield.
They could also move for Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara and have reportedly contacted a Borussia Dortmund star who has been tracked by some of the top clubs from across Europe.
Daily Star Sport has taken a look at the latest Manchester United transfer news below.
Kamara a "long-term target"
United could move to sign Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara on a pre-contract agreement, it is claimed.
Sky Sports' The Transfer Show reporter Dharmesh Sheth claims United "are in the market" for a midfielder and could move for Marseille star Kamara and Wolves' Ruben Neves.
He said: "Those are two of a number of midfielders that Manchester United are looking at.
"Let's start with Kamara, out of contract in the summer so he can sign a pre-contract agreement ahead of a free transfer in the summer with a club outside France."
He says United prefer to do business in the summer, unless "a long-term target becomes available".

Club "determined" to sign Neves
United are "determined" to sign Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves, according to reports.
The Sun reports United have been "mulling over a potential bid for the Portuguese international since the summer with ex-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a big fan".
United have long had issues in the centre of the park and Ralf Rangnick could look to Portuguese star Neves to help solve those problems.
And the report claims the Red Devils could now bid £35m to land the midfielder, who is said to be eyeing the "next stage of his development", during this month's January transfer window.

United "contact Dortmund star"
Manchester United have contacted Borussia Dortmund defender Dan-Axel Zagadou about a move to Old Trafford, it is reported.
According to German news outlet Fussball Transfers, Manchester United, among others, "has approached Zagadou's agent Moussa Sissoko for an initial exchange".
The report adds that German interim manager Ralf Rangnick is "the driving force" behind the move after he first tried to sign him for RB Leipzig in 2017.
United will have to fend off interest from Newcastle United should the player decide to leave Dortmund, it is added.
