Man Utd might have signed exactly what Pogba needs at club after France moment

Paul Pogba has once again shown why he is one of the world's best midfielders…in case it was in any doubt.

The 27-year-old midfielder seems to elevate when playing for France but struggle to reach those same standards consistently for Manchester United.

Pogba came on as a substitute in France's Nations League clash against Croatia with the score level at 1-1.

Coming deep for the play, the £90million midfielder sprayed a wonderful ball to Lucas Digne who had made a bombarding run down the left.

The Everton full-back crossed the ball first time to Kylian Mbappe who promptly tucked home to wrap up all three points for Les Bleus.

Pogba's raking ball was instrumental in the goal and United fans now think they know why they don't see more of the same at the club.

"TBF he doesn’t get that much space and time in PL. Also, wide players are making runs rather than standing still," posted one redditer.

"Alex Telles would 95% make that run," another said in reply.

"I have said this since last world cup when Mbappe was the RW. Out wingers should be running and expecting the ball instead of dropping back Telles should fix that," one fan commented.

"Telles making those runs on the end of pogba pinging balls will be such a breath of fresh air," another said.

"Pogba > Telles > Cavani," one more posted.

It seems as though United's lack of wingers is preventing Pogba from producing more of these balls.

We've seen when he does, against Tottenham for Marcus Rashford's goal for example, they are deadly. But how can he when no one is making the runs.

It is perhaps yet another reason why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was so desperate to sign Jadon Sancho.

United fans, though, seem to think new signing Alex Telles will be able to help in this department.

The full-back arrived from Porto this summer and has a track record of getting forward and producing a very healthy number of goals and assists.

Could the Brazilian help Pogba excel?
