Man Utd wantaway Jesse Lingard teases West Ham return on daughter’s Instagram

Manchester United wantaway Jesse Lingard's potential return to West Ham has been teased on his daughter's Instagram.

Lingard is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer come the end of his contract with the Red Devils. And his destination has been hinted at through a post on daughter Hope's social media account, which he runs along with his ex-girlfriend Rebecca Halliday.

The three-year-old has been pictured outside the Hammers' London Stadium with a big grin on her face as part of her 'London sightseeing' with her mum. They've travelled south while Lingard was an unused substitute against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday (March 15) evening.

West Ham fans were quick to take the upload as a sign that they would secure their former loanee for good in the summer. A fan account dedicated to the club commented "He's coming home" with a crying emoji and love heart eyes emoji.

Another wrote: "Lingard showing his daughter where he’ll be next season." And a third even suggested Lingard would bring team-mate Marcus Rashford with him as they added: "Bringing dad & uncle Rashy to the bowl."

David Moyes has been keen to bring the 29-year-old back to east London since an impressive spell in his side in the second half of last season. They couldn't reach United's asking price last summer.

And they were nearly beat to his signature in the January transfer window by Newcastle, who are interested in snapping him up with their newfound financial backing. However, Lingard's current club again blocked the move.

United won't be able to do anything to stop him walking away in the next window, though. After a tough season spent mostly on the sidelines, Lingard appears ready for a free transfer.

West Ham are eager to snap him up but face a nervy few weeks as they await a decision from the attacking midfielder. Newcastle could table a superior offer which may tempt him to Tyneside instead.
