Man Utd’s chances of Jadon Sancho transfer rated by insiders as Dortmund hold firm on deal

Manchester United have a 50/50 chance of signing Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, according to The Times. United have submitted a new bid for the winger worth £100million after seeing their £91m proposal rejected.

United are desperate to tie up a deal for Sancho as soon as possible.

The Red Devils saw their latest bid rejected on Tuesday and have now reportedly submitted a new offer.

They first offered up a deal worth £91m, with £73m to be paid immediately and the rest in add-ons and installments.

Dortmund are holding firm to their £108m asking price, however, and turned that proposal down – insisting once again that Sancho is not up for sale.

Now, United have upped that offer to £100m, with £82m to be paid immediately and the rest in add-ons.

They hope that despite leaving it late to make a fresh bid, they will convince Dortmund to lower their asking price.

And according to The Times, insiders involved with the deal believe there is a 50/50 chance that the deal will get done.

Dortmund have reportedly denied this, having insisted they will not sell the player having rejected all bids prior to the August 10th deadline set by the club.

“We all were happy that he will be with us for one more year because he delivers assists and goals, so we get points.

“If he gets as big as [Lionel] Messi or [Cristiano] Ronaldo, we will see.

“He needs time, experience and it will be important how he manages the times when things don’t go so well.

“But he has the confidence and the quality.”
