Manchester United's main aim in January may be to offload some unwanted players in their squad, but the club will be making plans in regards to incomings too.
Interim manager Ralf Rangnick has a talented set of footballers at his disposal, but there is a clear lack of balance within the group that has cost the team at various points in this campaign.
With that in mind, it's no shock to see continued links between the Red Devils and a number of high-class players from across the continent.
The latest set of rumours from Daily Star Sport focuses around French internationals, with two possible incomings and one departure.
According to Diario de Sevilla, Manchester United's interest in Sevilla defender Jules Kounde has yet to manifest as a real offer.
The defender has been excellent for the Andalusian side and was strongly linked with a move to Chelsea in the summer. However, the Blues didn't match Sevilla's valuation, potentially opening the door for other clubs to land the 23-year-old.
In the report, it's suggested a potential swap deal involving Anthony Martial has been mentioned, with the striker possibly moving to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on loan.
However, with Martial on an annual salary of €8 million (£6.75 million), United would still likely have to cover the majority of the player's wages.

According to Eurosport, Chelsea want to tie up the signing of Monaco's promising midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni in January.
The France international has enjoyed a breakthrough 2021 and has attracted interest from the likes of United as a result.
The Blues appear to be ready to make a significant push for the 21-year-old though, with the report suggesting the club is likely to lose one of N'Golo Kante, Jorginho or Mateo Kovacic over the next 12 months.
Martial one of three Juventus targets
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Martial is one of three forwards being targeted by Juventus in January.
Since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer, the Turin giants have struggled for reliable goals and appear ready to bolster their attacking options mid-season.
United are said to be willing to sell Martial in January, with the 26-year-old having fallen well down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca are the other two forwards said to be in the frame for the Bianconeri.
