Man Utd’s timeframe for announcing Sancho following ‘£350k-a-week agreement’

Manchester United have stepped up their pursuit of Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho with the signing expected to be announced after the Euros.

United have agreed terms with the 21-year-old in a deal worth £350,000 a week lasting until 2026, according to The Sun.

The Red Devils made an offer of £61million earlier this week but the German club want £78million plus add-ons.

A compromise will likely be reached with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer prioritising Sancho’s move to Old Trafford.

Sancho admitted last night that the possibility of his move to Manchester has created a buzz among the England players who have been preparing for the Euros.

He said: “Of course, all the boys have a lot of questions. When you do well, speculation is always going to come around.

“I just tell the boys, ‘look, I’m focused on football at the moment’ and we just focus on the Euros, step by step.”

Speaking to talkSPORT, Sancho was adamant that the transfer would not impact his focus during the prestigious international tournament.

Sancho said: “No, I’m cool about it. It’s just how you handle that on the pitch, so just keep doing what you’re doing.

“If you keep doing that then I’m sure it won’t be a problem because the main thing is my football and that’s what I’m focused on at the moment.”

United missed out on Sancho last summer after failing to meet Dortmund’s £110million price tag but are confident they can meet the club’s demands after the pandemic has deflated the market.
