Martin Odegaard looks set to land the No.11 shirt at Arsenal, previously worn by Mesut Ozil.
The Real Madrid talent is poised to complete a loan move to the Gunners as soon as today.
Norwegian playmaker Odegaard has already had his medical ahead of joining Mikel Arteta’s side, with an announcement imminent.
Arsenal saw off strong competition to attract the 22-year-old to north London.
He will help offer them creativity going forward in the second half of the season – something they have severely lacked without Ozil.
The World Cup winner’s exit for Fenerbahce was sealed following a turbulent year for him at the Emirates where he was outcasted by Arteta.
Ozil became a hero among Arsenal fans, donning the No.11 jersey between 2013 and 2018.
He then switched to the No.10, taking that from Jack Wilshere, while Lucas Torreira became Arsenal’s new No.11.
The Uruguayan midfielder held onto that until last summer, but then left for Atletico Madrid in a loan deal.
With the shirt vacant, Odegaard appears on course to claim it, following a leaked video of Arsenal’s website.
Accessing the official website from Kuwait, the video seems to show Odegaard listed as the No.11 when scrolling through the squad.
A shirt with his name on can even be purchased already, as shown in the short clip.
Other fans, even ones from the UK, have also claimed to be able to see Odegaard’s number listed when accessing the website.
Confirmation from Arsenal is expected today off the back of their 3-1 Premier League win at Southampton on Tuesday night.
Nicolas Pepe, Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette all got on the scoresheet at St Mary’s to move Arsenal up to eighth in the table.
