Mauricio Pochettino has snubbed another former Tottenham player so he can bring Dele Alli to PSG.
The former Spurs boss has made a strong start to list at the Parc des Princes, winning two and drawing one from his opening three games.
And it has seen the futures of some north London players, including Alli, get thrown into doubt as the Argentine looks to poach his former talents.
But The Guardian have reported that the Englishman’s arrival would be bad news for one of his former team-mates.
Christian Eriksen has been linked with PSG – a year after he left Spurs for Inter Milan, having made just 14 appearances in Italy this season.
Before Pochettino arrived, there was speculation the Dane could head to Paris as Leandro Paredes went the other way in a swap deal.
But the report states that the Argentine has made Alli his transfer priority for January, casting Eriksen to the side.
PSG are in talks with the Premier League side after the manager made his intentions about the midfielder clear to the board.
And they are discussing a potential loan deal for the 24-year-old, who is looking for more game time ahead of the European Championships over the summer.
Despite making just four league appearances this season, though, Jose Mourinho and Daniel Levy want to keep Alli in what is expected to be a busy six months.
The north London side currently six points behind Premier League leaders Manchester United.
And they are facing the rivals of Mourinho’s former side – Manchester City – in the Carabao Cup final at the end of April.
While Tottenham have made the fourth round of the FA Cup and will continue their Europa League campaign in February.
Alli featured in the domestic cup win over non-league side Marine, grabbing an assist in the 5-0 victory.
But fans suggested his part in the victory was all part of a transfer theory to keep PSG interested.
