Mbappes mum flying between Paris and Madrid as £150m bidding war gets started

Kylian Mbappe’s mum is reportedly jetting between two cities ahead of the Paris Saint-Germain star’s potential move this summer.

Fayza Lamari has been in talks with PSG’s owners in Qatar this week ahead of a £150million bidding war for the mercurial talent. It is understood she will next head to the Spanish capital Madrid to discuss her son’s future ahead of the battle to sign the World Cup winner.

La Liga giants Real Madrid are the favourites to sign Mbappe on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season. But PSG are reportedly not giving up on their talisman, with the club’s Qatari owners keen to keep him for at least one more season.

Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is believed to be preparing a staggering £150million signing-on fee to persuade the 23-year-old to stay. And Marca claim PSG are “optimistic” of a new deal being completed.

Meanwhile, Spanish outlet Sport now report that Real will struggle to match PSG’s offer economically. They claim Mbappe’s party are now seeking £100million more in sign-ons than previously agreed last year, meaning Los Blancos could pull out of the deal.

Real Madrid fought tooth and nail to sign the forward last summer but couldn’t convince PSG to part ways with their golden boy. PSG's £21million salary offer and £25million increase on his initial £125million signing-on fee have now complicated the possibility of a transfer even further.

Speaking earlier this month, Mbappe said of his future: "I haven't made my decision, there are new elements to consider."

The ex-Monaco man has scored a whopping 33 goals already this season as PSG look to reclaim their Ligue 1 title. Yet their disappointment in the Champions League and Mbappe’s well-known love for Real Madrid mean his future is still uncertain.
