Meunier mocks Jordan Henderson after winning penalty in England win over Belgium

Thomas Meunier mocked Jordan Henderson at the full-time whistle as he accused the Liverpool midfielder of going down too easily in England’s win over Belgium.

Gareth Southgate’s side fell behind after Romelu Lukaku slotted home from the spot after Eric Dier fouled him in the penalty area, before Marcus Rashford scored a penalty at the other end.

Chelsea attacking midfielder Mason Mount produced the match’s winning moment.

A deflected strike sailed over former Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet as England recorded a win over the world’s highest-ranked team.

The award of Rashford’s penalty – which was won by Henderson – was a talking point following the contest.

Meunier put his hand on Henderson’s shoulder and slightly tugged the midfielder, who fell to the floor.

‘So we tried to keep the ball better and create chances. We had a couple of chances and it worked.’
