Victor Osimhen reportedly prefers a move to the Premier League this summer in a major boost to the transfer hopes of Chelsea and Manchester United. A four-way battle is apparently ensuing for the Napoli striker who could be the subject of one of the most high-profile deals when the transfer window reopens.
Osimhen has scored 26 goals in just 32 appearances for the Serie A club this season. Premier League sides Chelsea and United are apparently battling with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich to sign the Nigerian.
Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis reportedly wants £133million (€150m) for the 24-year-old. It means only the world’s wealthiest clubs will be able to sign him in the summer.
Representatives of Osimhen are believed to have recently met with PSG chiefs to discuss how a deal could happen. However, it has been reported in the French media that the Ligue 1 giants are not the player’s first preference.

Instead, Foot Mercato claims that Osimhen would prioritise a switch to the Premier League. Chelsea and Man Utd are believed to be the favourites to sign the former Lille star.
Both Premier League clubs are expected to invest heavily in attacking additions this summer. Despite spending around £600m on new signings, Chelsea’s huge spending spree has not included a new centre-forward.
The Blues have scored just 30 goals in 31 Premier League matches this season. Kai Havertz has often been used as a makeshift striker but has failed to find the net on a regular basis.
Meanwhile, United have had similar struggles up front. Marcus Rashford’s 28 goals in all competitions make him the Red Devils’ top scorer by some distance. Bruno Fernandes is next on the list with 10.

Ten Hag puts Man Utd board in sticky situation with ‘transfer demand'[TRANSFERS]
January signing Wout Weghorst has struggled for goals and is yet to score for the club in the Premier League. Erik ten Hag is reported to have demanded that a new striker is signed before his players return for pre-season training, which is usually at the end of June.
Osimhen has been strongly linked with Old Trafford. However, United are apparently also interested in completing a transfer for England captain Harry Kane.
Kane is unlikely to sign a new contract with Tottenham. Come the summer, the 29-year-old will have just 12 months remaining on his current deal with the club and could choose to leave.
