Playboy model ditched lingerie to pursue ‘irresistible’ referee career
Italian model Claudia Romani once ditched her career to pursue the “irresistible opportunity” of becoming a Serie A referee.
The 39-year-old actor and supermodel, who has graced the cover of Playboy, Cosmopolitan and GQ in the past, decided to hang up her heels and take on a new profession.
Romani was reported by The Daily Mail in 2014 to have become fully qualified to take charge of both Serie A and Serie B fixtures.
Dubbed the world’s ‘most attractive referee’, she claimed: “Running around on the pitch with all those players and calling the shots is just an irresistible opportunity.”
Her support of Serie A giants AC Milan later caused a stir in 2016 as fans accused her of being biased.
It came after the brunette beauty posed for a series of raunchy snaps wearing nothing but lingerie and a Milan top, which prompted some to question whether her allegiance could influence her officiating.

The animal rights activist also previously dated legendary Milan forward and manager Filippo Inzaghi.
She currently resides in Miami, Florida, and it appears her refereeing career has ceased for the time being.
However, Romani remains firmly in the public eye, regularly posting racy snaps to her staggering 1.4million Instagram followers.
