A footballer was sacked just moments after hitting a rival player with a stomach-churning elbow which left him needing 24 stitches.
The contract of Bangkok FC's Aitsaret Noichaiboon was terminated immediately after he struck unaware opponent Supasan Ruangsuphanimit with a sickening elbow to leave him flat on his back.
Bangkok were taking on North Bangkok University in the third level of Thai football on Sunday which ended in a 3-0 win for the home side against the 10-men.
The incident took place during the sixth minute of added time in the second-half, after Noichaiboon was the victim of a kick out as the ball went for a throw.
Despite his opponent raising his hand in apology, Noichaiboon charged towards him with a purpose and looked like he was ready to throw a punch.
However, it wasn't a punch Ruangsuphanimit needed to worry about but a spiteful elbow – which landed flush on his chin and sent him tumbling backwards to the turf.
Noichaiboon was instantly shown a red card by the ref as the team-mates of the fallen player got involved, with the Bangkok side left bemused as to the actions of their colleague.

Not only being handed a ban after being sent off, Noichaiboon’s contract was immediately thrown out according to posters of the original video Vocket FC.
Noichaiboon's club then said in a Facebook statement: "Bangkok FC would like to [take a] stand and not support the action.
"The club has cancelled the contract of the player.
"The club would like to express our condolences for the incident, and will do everything possible to stop this happening again."
Noichaiboon, 23, left Ruangsuphanimit needing 24 stitches with the Muay Thai-style elbow.
North Bangkok University said: "He has undergone a physical examination at Bangpakok-Rangsit 2 Hospital after player No 6 of the Bangkok FC club intentionally attacked his face.
"After seeing a doctor [they] found that the upper lip area has a severe wound.
"The doctor therefore sewed a total of 24 stitches to cover the wound. The club will provide care and responsibility."
