Rashford’s Man Utd showing called ‘criminal’ as ‘shocking’ body language spotted
Jermaine Jenas didn't hold back on Marcus Rashford's performance against Newcastle as he called his body language "shocking".
The Manchester United star started in his side's Saturday (December 2) clash in the Premier League at St James' Park but was hooked off in the 61st minute for Antony in what was a disappointing showing from the England international with United going on to lose 1-0.
Following the end of the first-half, Jenas – who spent three years at Newcastle – slammed the 26-year-old for his performance as well as his attitude on the pitch. Working the game for TNT Sports, the 40-year-old didn't pull any punches in his assessment of the winger.

"I think it was poor, I think his body language was shocking throughout the game, I really do," the ex-England international said. "There have been too many moments like this and throwing his arms about. I think he is sending a message to his manager almost like I don’t want to play out here.
"He is looking at (Alejandro) Garnacho on the left, and it’s criminal putting your team under that type of pressure by not doing your duties as a wide man and tracking back. It’s clear as well, (Tino) Livramento knows that he does not want to go with him. He’s never there and it’s time and time again."

The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder continued his damning assessment of Rashford's performance, adding that he has "no interest in tracking [Livramento] back" and he's being bailed out by both Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.
He added: "Maguire and Shaw are constantly coming to the rescue due to the ineptitude of the wide players and it’s not just them by the way. Fabian Schar is running past (Anthony) Martial. (Kieran) Trippier is running past Garnacho – all over the park they are second best and Newcastle were just not able to capitalise."

It's been dismal season for Rashford thus far as he's scored just two goals in 17 appearances this season in all competitions despite starting 12 games for United. His performances are a far cry from last season where he enjoyed the best goal-scoring campaign of his young career, netting 30 goals in all competitions.
