Real Madrid players are reportedly excited at the potential of Kylian Mbappe moving to the club this summer. Mbappe is a long-standing target for Real, dating back to his time at Monaco. The Frenchman opted to join Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 but has now entered the final year of his contract with the Ligue 1 club.
PSG are desperate for Mbappe to sign a new contract, both to protect his value and to also keep him at the club long term.
However, the 22-year-old has rejected an offer of a new six-year deal at the Parc des Princes.
Mbappe would be able to discuss a free transfer to a foreign club come January if he has not agreed to an extension by then.
However, Real believe they can still secure the player in this window.

Spanish outlet Marca claims Los Blancos have raised £170million (€200m) through player sales in the last few transfer windows, with Martin Odegaard’s impending move to Arsenal the latest high-profile exit.
Marca has also revealed how Mbappe’s potential move to Real is the talk of the dressing room.
Mbappe built a relationship with Real striker Karim Benzema during France’s participation at Euro 2020 this summer.
He has also created a close bond with Sergio Ramos, who has joined PSG after leaving Real at the end of last season.

Marca says Real players have ‘access to privileged information’ about Mbappe’s future because of their relationship with Ramos.
Real midfielder Toni Kroos hinted that Mbappe could join the club earlier this week.
Following Lionel Messi’s move to Barcelona to PSG, the German said a PSG player could move to the Spanish capital.
“We will see how everything goes,” Kroos said on the Einfach mal Luppen podcast.
“The move may be good for us because our biggest rivals have lost their best player.
“And something even better may come out of it as a consequence. Maybe a player from Paris will join us… I don’t know.”
Speaking earlier this month, Spanish football expert Graham Hunter insisted Mbappe would join Real either this summer or next.
Speaking on Reach PLC’s Transfer Window podcast, Hunter said: “Florentino Perez’s idea about getting Mbappe is lodged in his brain. He tends to get his way.
“He will accept having to fight a long war rather than a short battle and it’s going to be this summer or next summer that Mbappe’s a Real Madrid player, of that I’m certain.
“That takes a lot of money if there’s going to be a transfer fee now, or if there’s going to be a loan now.”
