Real Madrid believe they have found the next Takefusa Kubo after ‘inviting 16-year-old playmaker Takuhiro Nakai to train with Zinedine Zidane’s first-team’.

Nakai is said to be one of the most highly-rated talents at the club, and Marca report that he has been given a chance to impress with the senior team during the international break.

The playmaker, who has earned the nickname ‘Pipi’ in his seven years at the club, currently plays for the Juvenil B but there are suggestions he will join up with Raul’s Castilla side in the near future.

Real Madrid hope ‘Pipi’ can follow in the footsteps of Takefusa Kubo and reach the first team

He has already trained regularly with Raul’s squad, but is yet to play his first game for the Castilla outfit.

Nakai looks set to be the next Japanese superstar to come through the ranks at Real, following in the footsteps of Kubo who is currently out on loan at Villarreal.

Kubo, who himself is still only 19, came through Barcelona’s academy initially beofore going back to Japan and then being bought by Real Madrid.

He has earned himself the nickname ‘The Japanese Messi’, impressed last season at Mallorca and is expected to be given more of a chance in the first-team if his second loan spell goes well this season.

Nakai, meanwhile, is represented by Gareth Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett, whose company was recently bought by US-based ICM Partners.

Barnett will continue to run the operations of the newly-created ICM Stellar Sports, with Nakai one of their brightest young talents.
