Richard Keys has been criticised by Arsenal fans after he expressed with his frustration with Mikel Arteta frequently going outside of his technical area.

Keys took to Twitter to give his thoughts on the situation.
Richard Keys criticised Mikel Arteta for going outside of his technical area against Chelsea
Calling on the Premier League to ‘do something’ about the situation, Keys posted a picture of Arteta outside his technical area and noted that Chelsea boss Graham Potter was following the rules by staying in his box.
Keys wrote: ‘Why is this allowed every week @FAPGMOL? Arteta has been jumping up & down all game – way outside his technical area. Potter is in his & 4th is watching. Do something about this man.’
One Twitter user described Keys’ focus on the issue as ‘weird’.
They wrote: ‘Out of all the issues in football and you focus on this? Weird.’
Another added that Arsenal are living ‘rent free’ in Keys’ head.
They wrote: ‘Arteta and arsenal living rent free in your head Keys’.
Keys remarked that Chelsea boss Graham Potter remained in his technical area throughout
Another Twitter user added: ‘Make sure you remind them that he also celebrates after a win, doesn’t wear a coat when its raining and that he “really irritates you” as well, that should cover it’.
Another Twitter user stated that Keys won’t know what to do when the World Cup is on as he won’t be able to criticise Arsenal.
They wrote: ‘I worry about you Richard during the WC. You’ll have six week off from obsessing over arsenal. I hope you’ll be ok’.
This isn’t the first time that Keys has spoken about this issue.
In September, he said: ‘Why is Arteta allowed to spend the game on the touchline? Again today – in front of the 4th official as well. Does he has special dispensation?’ Whilst back in April he said: ‘And why is this irritating man allowed to spend 90 minutes outside of his technical area? Can’t the fourth (official) see this?’.
Earlier in the season Keys suggested that Arsenal over-celebrated when they beat Fulham
Keys previously accused Arteta and his team of over-celebrating following a 2-1 win at home to Fulham in August.
Speaking on beIN Sports, Keys said: ‘I understand Arsenal’s fans celebrating in the manner that they did. I felt that the coach and his players over-celebrated a 2-1 win against Fulham.
‘I think this sort of reaction to what happened yesterday from Arteta and co tells me how far they’ve fallen.
‘Arsene Wenger would have been howled out of the arena if his team had scraped a 2-1 win with in effect an own goal that was well off-target until it took a deflection, and a present from Bernd Leno.
