Sheffield United will kick off their first season back in the Premier League with a home game against Crystal Palace – though the Blades face tough games against Big Six sides in their opening six matches.
Paul Heckingbottom’s men will hope to make a strong start on their return to the top flight to ease any early fears about an immediate relegation to the second tier – having finished second in the Championship last season.
The Blades will be happy with a first game at home against Palace, who finished 11th last season, and a trip to Nottingham Forest in the second game shouldn’t have too many fans sweating.
But tougher tests will follow as they prepare to welcome Premier League champions Manchester City in their third game, before travelling to Tottenham and then welcoming a superb Newcastle side to cap off their first six matches.
A tough October sees them face Manchester United at home before travelling to Arsenal, while tests against Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United are all coming in December.
They will finish their campaign with a home clash against Tottenham.
