Supercomputers final Premier League table including title, top four, relegation

A supercomputer has predicted that Manchester City will pip Liverpool to the Premier League title by a single point on the final day of the season.

The two rivals are separated by four points ahead of Liverpool's visit to Southampton on Tuesday. The supercomputer has calculated that the Reds will see off the Saints and Wolves on the final day but still come up short in their bid for a second Premier League title.

Even though Jurgen Klopp's side are predicted to pick up maximum points from their final two games, City are also expected to see off Aston Villa on Sunday. Such a scenario would see Pep Guardiola's team pip Liverpool to the title by one point in a finale reminiscent of the 2018-19 campaign.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are predicted to deny Arsenal a return to the Champions League for the first time since the 2016-2017 season.

The supercomputer believes the Gunners will only draw against either Newcastle or Everton, allowing Spurs to nick fourth spot by a single point.

Further down the table, West Ham are expected to pip Manchester United to sixth place and a spot in the group stage of the Europa League. A seventh-place finish for United would see them enter the Europa Conference League in Erik ten Hag's first season in charge.

At the other end, it's good news for Everton and Burnley fans, with both sides managing to stay in the Premier League. According to the supercomputer, the Toffees will finish 16th on 39 points and Burnley 17th on 37 points.

That means Leeds will join Watford and Norwich in the Championship next season. The Whites are predicted to lose their final day clash against Brentford, a result that would see them conclude the season in 18th on 35 points.
