The THREE players Liverpool can’t afford to lose to injury if they are to win the league

The Brazilian shot stopper was signed for £65m in the summer.

But Kop fans will regard him as a bargain buy if he helps them lift the trophy this season.

Alisson has kept 20 clean sheets so far in his debut campaign for the Reds.

But it is the confidence he gives the rest of the team that has helped them so much this season.

Liverpool never looked comfortable when under pressure with Loris Karius or Simon Mignolet in goal.

Alisson has brought that reassurance that has helped the Reds hold narrow leads when they may have dropped points.

If he somehow picked up a knock, there would be huge concern on the red half of Merseyside.

Yes, Liverpool would probably miss the goals of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane or Mo Salah (even if he is not in form at the moment).

But they can always find a way to net with one of the three missing.

The loss of Jordan Henderson might be more costly, though.

The Kop skipper may not start every game for the Reds and has missed games through injury but, as he showed for England against Czech Republic last week, he can control a midfield.

Liverpool will need Henderson in tight games in this run-in. He is key to their game management if not the goal-scoring match winner who grabs the headlines.

Even if Fabinho starts ahead of him, Klopp will need Henderson off the bench.

The former Sunderland man was sorely missed when Liverpool’s last title challenge imploded in the 2013-14 season.

He was sent off against Manchester City that campaign and consequently missed the games against Norwich, Chelsea and Crystal Palace.

Liverpool dropped five points in those three games and City pipped them to the title. They won’t want a repeat.
