Many would presume that a European superstar of Harry Kane’s ilk would be at the centre of a global football agency boasting some of the biggest names that the sport has to offer. But no, Kane represents his brother Charlie’s CK66 agency. In fact, he’s the only client.

Kane is again heavily linked with a Tottenham Hotspur departure this summer as Manchester United circle in their hunt for a marquee striker.

Erik ten Hag has reportedly prioritised recruiting a natural goalscorer ahead of his second season in charge at Old Trafford.

There aren’t many elite players around that fit that description better than Kane.

If United enter talks over the 29-year-old, not only would they deal with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy but also his brother Charlie’s CK66 agency.

Kane’s representation has been divisive, to say the least, after CK66 received mass criticism for sanctioning his staggering six-year contract at Tottenham in 2018.

It meant Kane had little bargaining power when Manchester City relentlessly pursued his signature in the summer of 2021, helping Levy demand unrealistic figures to keep him in north London.

Reports that Charlie had told people at his wedding that he was on the verge of securing Kane a big-money transfer to City didn’t help his cause and certainly didn’t force Levy’s hand.

After the England captain missed out on uniting with Pep Guardiola at the Premier League champions, reports claimed that he had requested that CK66 take a step back from negotiations.

He was said to have hired a new PR firm to take charge of future discussions, and CK66’s old website now directs traffic to Harry Kane’s own site.

However, Charlie is still thought to be his brother’s agent, with his LinkedIn account still running and no concrete suggestions otherwise.

And he is likely to be a central figure in talks if United make a breakthrough with Tottenham this summer and take a significant stride toward luring Kane to M16.

Many were in disbelief at a player of Kane’s quality penning such a long-term deal at a club not accustomed to winning trophies five years ago.

But now, entering the final year of that deal, the prolific No 10 could finally secure his high-profile switch to ensure his illustrious career doesn’t end without silverware.
