Jurgen Klopp reveals Liverpool are having ‘really good conversations’ with Mo Salah over a new deal to keep him at Anfield long-term

Jurgen Klopp has claimed Liverpool are enjoying ‘really good conversations’ over a new contract with Mohamed Salah, despite the current impasse.

The Reds’ star forward is in the form of his life, with 22 goals in 23 appearances in all competitions so far this season, and is widely considered to be one of the best players in the world.

Despite Salah’s deal expiring in 18 months, Klopp told Sky Sports negotiations were going well.

What a moment today is for Tyler Morton and his family.

The 19-year-old has had some minutes in the Champions League but will now get to experience his first Premier League start.

A real show of faith from Jurgen Klopp, even with the long list of absentees.

Tottenham XI: Lloris, Sanchez, Dier, Davies, Royal, Ndombele, Winks, Sessegnon, Alli, Son, Kane

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Konate, Robertson, Morton, Keita, Milner, Salah, Jota, Mane

Still waiting on team news but there will be no Thiago Alcantara for the visitors today.

He joins Virgil van Dijk, Curtis Jones and Fabinho on the sidelines as part of a suspected Covid outbreak.
