Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd check on third striker, Arsenal track Castagne

Real Madrid v Man City: Pictures

With the Premier League season drawing to a close, transfer news continues to circulate as clubs prepare for some of the most important months of the year. Several top sides are plotting major overhauls, including Manchester United and Chelsea, whilst other clubs are a sprinkling of top talent away from throwing the title race open once again.

Erik ten Hag has made it no secret that he is unsure about whether he will be able to sign all the players that he needs due to the ongoing takeover talks. The ex-Ajax boss has no clarity on whether the Glazers will still be at the club when the window opens, or if his budget will be bolstered if Sheikh Jassim’s bid is successful.

United are desperate to sign a striker this summer and have identified two top targets – Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen. Though it now appears that other candidates are being considered, with Roma’s Tammy Abraham firmly in the thoughts of the club.

Chelsea are also shopping in the same market, with Mauricio Pochettino desperate to add a No 9 to his ranks upon his arrival. However, the former Tottenham boss has prioritised cutting the size of his squad first and is unlikely to green-light signings until fringe stars have been moved on. Express Sport brings you all the latest transfer news…

Arsenal scout Castagne

Arsenal have reportedly sent scouts to watch Leicester City star Timothy Castagne as they identify the Belgian as a potential option to provide depth in fullback.

According to The Mirror, the Gunners hold an interest in the 27-year-old and have been monitoring his progress lately – with Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi also admired.

With Leicester likely to face relegation, the Foxes will be forced to offload several of their stars this summer and Castagne may therefore be available for a minimal fee.

Man Utd identify Tammy Abraham as target

Manchester United have reportedly ‘carried out further checks’ on Roma star Tammy Abraham as they identify a third striker target.

The Red Devils are desperate to sign a marquee forward when the campaign concludes, with Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen being speculated as the leading candidates to head to Old Trafford.

Though i report that Abraham is also being considered and could be available for £60million this summer. The England international has flourished since making the move to the Serie A and United are monitoring his progress in hope of bringing the 25-year-old back to the Premier League.
