USA’s Brenden Aaronson has shared insight into what he likes with fans in a quick Q&A.

The Leeds midfielder took some time out from World Cup preparations with Gregg Berhalter’s roster, who suffered a blow Wednesday morning with England’s Harry Kane not ruled out, to reveal some personal details, including his favorite athlete, team and music.

The 22-year-old has impressed since making the move to England’s Premier League from Red Bull Salzburg in a $30million deal in the summer.

Aaronson joined up with compatriot Jesse Marsch in the north of England after starting out with Philadelphia Union.

The team clearly still has a place in his heart as he named his boyhood club as his favorite in America.

He then went on to choose seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi, whose Argentina side fell to a shock defeat by Saudi Arabia at the World Cup Tuesday, as the athlete he likes the most.

The 25-cap USMNT star, from Medford, New Jersey, picked Bruce Springsteen over Jon Bon Jovi when asked to choose between the music legends from his part of the world.

Aaronson named Lionel Messi (L) as his favorite athlete and Drake as his No. 1 music artist (R)

As for his favorite artist right now, Aaronson selected Drake and could not pick his most-loved song, saying: ‘My favorite song is the whole album with Drake.’

The USMNT will be hoping Aaronson’s No. 1 music artist does not come across the team.

There’s an internet theory, known as the ‘Drake curse’ that the rapper is behind the downfall of several form sides and athletes across the world.

After players met with Drake ahead of fixtures, each of PSG, Arsenal, Anthony Joshua and Conor McGregor suffered high-profile defeats from 2018-19.

Roma hilariously banned all players from getting a picture with Drake after PSG defender Layvin Kurzawa became victim of the ‘Drake curse’.

Aaronson played in the USA’s 1-1 tie with Wales in their opening Group B game on Monday, with the team now gearing up for the crucial showdown with England in Qatar on Friday.
