West Ham vs Manchester United LIVE: Team news, line-ups and more ahead of Premier League fixture today


West Ham United are hosting Manchester United at the London Stadium today as the Hammers look to build on their recent strong form. The win over Aston Villa last time out has lifted West Ham to fifth in the Premier League with a chance to climb even high here today. 

Standing in their way are a Manchester United side in mixed form, having won their last three league games but lost to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League in midweek. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping for a positive display here in order to get back in touch with the season’s frontrunners.

Man City 2 – 0 Fulham

69 mins: Kevin De Bruyne takes a corner for Man City and swings the cross into the centre of the box. He bounces for Ruben Dias on the half volley and he hits one over the bar.

66 mins: Harrison Reed is taken off by Scott Parker with Mario Lemina replacing him in the middle of the park for Fulham.

63 mins: City keep working the wide areas as Gundogan plays the ball out to Cancelo and his cross is headed out for a corner by Adarabioyo. Mahrez passes a quick, low ball into the box from the corner. De Bruyne meets it with a shot but puts it over the crossbar.

60 mins: Man City sweep the ball from the right quickly to Mendy on the left. He puts a curling pass into the middle of the box but it doesn’t fall for Jesus and Fulham clear the danger.

57 mins: Loftus-Cheek plays a lofted ball into the box for Cavaleiro who wins the visitors a corner. It’s played short and comes to Cavaleiro whose cross is cleared by Stones. Mahrez meets the clearance on the half-volley and he sends De Bruyne free on the counter attack. Sterling runs into the right side of the box with De Bruyne coming in from the left. De Bruyne goes it alone and forces Areola into another sharp save.

54 mins: Kevin De Bruyne feeds it over to Riyad Mahrez who backheels it to Joao Cancelo. His cut-back pass for Gabriel Jesus is then cut-out.

51 mins: Off the bar! There’s lots of space on the counter for Man City. De Bruyne brings the ball foward through the middle of the pitch, he sends it into the left side of the box for Jesus. Jesus dummies a shot and lays it off to De Bruyne and his shot hits the crossbar and bounces away!

48 mins: Cancelo races forward with the ball and guides it wide to Mahrez. He darts into the box with it and tries to pick out Jesus but the pass is intercepted and booted clear.

Second half: The visitors restart the match. No changes from either side as the ball is played down the left wing and sent out of play.

Raheem Sterling ended a run of seven league games without scoring for Man City. He let out a roar of relief when the ball found the back of the net and by the look of things there could be more to come in the second half.
