Wrexham have announced American whiskey company Four Walls as one of the club’s new sponsors in typical hilarious Hollywood fashion.

Club co-owner Rob McElhenney is also an investor in the brand along with his fellow co-stars, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton, that also feature on hit television sitcom It’s All Sunny in Philadelphia.

The club have enjoyed a meteoric rise since McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds completed their takeover of in 2021. During that time the pair have brought plenty of other high-profile commercial opportunities with them.

United Airlines became the League Two side’s main shirt sponsor prior to the start of the season and the new deal with Four Walls will see more of the club’s advertising space bought out by an American organisation.

The beverage sponsor will take it’s place on the shirt sleeve of Wrexham’s training kit and was revealed in a brilliant video where McElhenney, Day and Howerton all discuss the investment.

Filmed in a high-rise apartment in Philadelphia, the trio sit down to watch Wrexham play a match and McElhenney holds up a bottle of the Irish American whiskey to officially unveil the advertising deal.

Howerton and Day initially discuss the drink’s branding appearing on front of the first-team match shirt. They are then told it will instead be on the club’s training kit.

McElhenney then lands one final blow when he explains Four Walls will only be appearing on the sleeve of the training tops and points to the television show this before Wrexham players step off the team bus wearing vests.

The video announcement went down well with football supporters who love Wrexham’s fresh approach to making what are usually serious and business-like announcements on behalf of new investment.

Wrexham are enjoying a tremendous season with the club targeting back-to-back promotions after winning the National League last season and currently third in English football’s fourth division.

Fronting a more serious tone when making a statement to Wrexham’s official website off the back of the new partnership, McElhenney, who also adopts the role of Chief Manhattan Drinker of Four Walls Whiskey, said: ‘Our whiskey is a tribute to the bar and the free feeling you get when you enter its four walls – leaving all your troubles at the door and being in the moment – much like our supporters do when they enter the racecourse grounds.

‘We’re proud to wear Four Walls on our sleeve, and I can’t wait for fans everywhere to be able to celebrate some wins with a glass of Four Walls soon.’
