Yves Bissouma deletes all Brighton Instagram posts as Tottenham move draws near

Yves Bissouma has deleted all his Brighton & Hove Albion posts from his Instagram as his move to Tottenham Hotspur draws nearer to completion.

Spurs are on the verge of singing the 25-year-old midfielder from Brighton for an initial £25million fee, with the player undergoing his medical with the club on Thursday. After reviving their interest from the January window, Antonio Conte's side are set to make Bissouma their third summer signing after offering him a five-year deal.

Ahead of the deal being officially announced, Bissouma has removed all traces of his time at Brighton from his personal Instagram page.

He has reduced his profile down to 13 posts with just one reference to the club still visible on his feed. In his most recent upload, posted three days ago, one of his friends can be seen wearing a Brighton shirt as they pose in front of a car.

Bissouma has 184,000 followers on the social media platform, despite not following a single account himself.

The Mali international joined Brighton in the summer of 2018 from Lille for a £15.1million fee and has gone on to make 123 appearances for the club, scoring six goals and adding three assists.

That tally includes 28 appearances across all competitions last season, which saw him score twice and provide two assists for his team-mates. He has also won 18 caps and scored three times for his country.

Spurs have been able to beat off considerable competition to land Bissouma, with Aston Villa failing with a bid of their own for the midfielder back in January. Both Arsenal and Liverpool were also linked with a move last summer.

Bissouma will become Spurs' third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic on free transfers earlier in the window. He will also now have the chance to play Champions League football next season after Spurs pipped rivals Arsenal to a top four finish and a return to the competition after two seasons away.
