Serena Williams announces birth of second child with unique name in cute video
Serena Williams has given birth to her second child with husband Alexis Ohanian, after announcing the exciting news on Tuesday. The couple uploaded a video together to their social media, where they were joined by Olympia, 5, and then the new baby.
The name of Serena and Alexis’ newest addition to the family is named Adira River, after Ohanian confirmed the news in a follow-up post online.
“Welcome, Adira River Ohanian,” Alexis wrote on Twitter with a selection of photos. “I’m grateful to report our house is teaming with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama.
“Feeling grateful. you’ve now given me another incomparable gift — you’re the GMOAT. Thanks to all the amazing medical staff who took care of my wife & our daughter I’ll never forget the moment I introduced Olympia to her baby sister. Your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea.”

Ohanian’s post was after Serena had posted a beautiful video to her TikTok, accompanied by the song ‘Beautiful’ by popular artist Bazzi. Ohanian and Serena married in 2017, and now have two beautiful children together.
Serena was sat in a large pink hoodie and relaxing with her family in the video, until she went and grabbed their new born baby. She captioned the video: “Welcome my beautiful angel.”
The couple announced that they were expecting their second child at the 2023 Met Gala. “Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala,” Williams captioned a photo of her showing off her bump at the event.

Serena also shared a wonderful video of her announcing the news to Olympia. Her five-year-old daughter has become quite the celebrity online, and her reaction went viral.
“Remember how you’ve been praying for a little sister or brother? Well, we went to the doctor and it turns out I’m not getting fat,” Serena said to a confused Olympia in the earlier video. “But I have a baby in my belly.”
“Are you kidding me?” Olympia replied, and now will be a big sister. Serena retired from tennis to focus on her family, and now she has both hands full.
