Conor McGregor stamps on hat hurled at him and gives sarcastic response at party

Conor McGregor angrily stamped on a hat and gave a sarcastic thumbs up after someone threw a cap at him during his Ibiza birthday celebrations in Ibiza.

The Irish fighter was enjoying a huge party for his 34th birthday with his friends and family on the Spanish island. But amid the festivities, footage showed someone throwing a hat toward the MMA star.

McGregor looked perplexed at first, wondering what hit him in the chest. But after realising it was a cap and spotting the perpetrator, McGregor gave a sarcastic thumbs up. The hat had already fallen to the floor and McGregor decided the best way to assert himself was to angrily stamp on it.

Clearly aggrieved, McGregor then mouthed some words at the person out of shot, before carrying on with his party in the VIP section.

Notorious has not competed in the UFC for over a year now. His last fight was a TKO defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, where he also sustained a broken leg. But McGregor has been on the mend and back in training.

It is not sure who his opponent will be on his Octagon return, but he has been called out by veteran MMA fighter Jorge Masvidal and UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.

Jake Paul has also called out McGregor, taking shots at the Irishman in a recent video. "Conor, Conor, Conor, you're more active on Twitter than you are in the octagon – your priorities are mixed up. Put down the bottle, and get back to fighting,” said Paul.

"You haven't won a fight in five f***ing years, and the last time you did was against Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone. He hasn't won a fight against anyone since fighting you. I’m a nobody, you say in this tweet, and I guess you're right. "

He added: "I'm just a kid from Ohio, I am a nobody, but your sixth fight had literally two people in the crowd, and I'm going to be fighting my sixth fight at Madison Square Garden; the 'Mecca of boxing'. August 6, I know you'll be watching, kiddo."
