Logan Paul explains surprise phone call from Dana White before McGregor fight

Logan Paul has shared the details of a phone call he had with Dana White shortly before Conor McGregor’s loss to Dustin Poirier last weekend.

Paul, along with younger brother Jake and other celebrities including Donald Trump, Mel Gibson, and Justin Bieber, was in attendance for the UFC’s biggest event of the year.

And while the social media superstars were initially sat several rows back from the octagon, he explained on his podcast ‘Impaulsive’ that UFC president White called him and personally invited him octagon-side to ‘billionaire’s row’.

"I answer [the call], and I'm not sure what to expect," Paul told his co-hosts on the podcast.

"Jake's p***ed him off. Him and Jake have an ongoing feud.

"But I've come out publicly and said I love Dana White, always have, always will. He's a ruthless businessman, the head honcho, but I'm not sure how he feels about me.

“By default, my relationship with my brother will always take precedence but if I can be cool with someone I will.

"So, he calls me up and says 'hey man, is this Logan', and I'm like 'yeah what's up Dana', and he explains that we've got two tickets, but he says he has better ones.

"These seats are in what's called 'billionaire's row', and he says I'll have a much better experience, and I'm like flabbergasted and honoured.

"Dana White is accommodating me, this is fantastic, and I'm like 'sure', I told him 'thanks Dana,' and I hung up and Jake is like 'that was weird'."

Logan, along with younger brother Jake, arrived at the UFC event initially to watch friend Sean O’Malley compete in his preliminary bout against Kris Moutinho.

However, they also sought to troll McGregor in the hope of putting together a potential fight somewhere in the future.

Last week, before the fight had even taken place, Paul showed his 16.4m Instagram followers his $100k (£72k) chain which featured a pendant of McGregor unconscious after his knockout loss to Poirier earlier this year.

At the UFC event, the younger Paul brother was wearing the chain and Logan claimed on the podcast that it was “one of the most f***ing brilliant things” he’s ever seen.

"Yeah, Jake showed me this chain," Logan explained. "I said, ‘I’m going to be honest, like, bro, I’ve been in this game. I know what a viral f***ing move looks like'. This is one of the most f***ing brilliant fun things I’ve ever seen in my life.

"He’s holding a f***ing Nyquil bottle, dude. ‘Sleepy McGregor’, like, his underwear is diamonds. Like, at his fight.”

Since McGregor’s loss, Paul has gone one step further and sent the chain to Poirier.

The YouTuber, who is 3-0 as a professional boxer, attached a note to the chain which congratulated Poirier on his victory.

“Dear Dustin. Congrats for your much earned victory. I love what you are doing with your Good Fight Foundation!

“You deserve this chain more than me! Good always beats evil! Keep winning! Love Jake.
