Paddy Pimblett has revealed that he received an unexpected business opportunity from Logan Paul following his spectacular UFC debut victory over Luigi Vendramini back in September.

Paddy The Baddy was ready to step into the promotion following 16 wins from 19 MMA bouts after his professional debut in 2012 – and more than matched expectations.

The 27-year-old won by first-round KO with a trademark flurry of punches, catching the eyes of not just regular UFC fans but those of big name celebrity followers.

In the build up for his second UFC appearance, which will come at London's The 02 on the undercard of Tom Aspinall's bout against Alexander Volkov on March 19, he has discussed the message he received from Logan.

He told the media on Tuesday afternoon: "The other day I went in my message requests and changed my requests to 'top requests' and I had some mad people in there.

"Big Shaq (Shaquille O'Neal), I'd left Big Shaq on unread for four months I felt terrible.

"There was Lewis Capaldi, all basketball players, all YouTubers, I even had a message off Logan Paul.

"So yeah when I went through my requests it was a bit like 'wow, what's going on here'."

Paddy admits feeling guilt over missing the message from NBA giant O'Neal, as well as award-winning Scottish singer Capaldi – before going on to discuss the nature of Paul's message.

Logan, the older brother of Jake, moved into professional boxing after building up a huge a YouTube following, losing to KSI before going the distance with Floyd Mayweather.

Although the nature of the offer remains unknown, there might well be further communication between the pair should he double his UFC win column next month.

Paddy told Daily Star Sport: "That was a nice little business opportunity for me, but if the money ain't right, you can leg it."

For now, Paddy is fully focused on his UFC return against Rodrigo Vargas, whom he believes will be overwhelmed by the crowd at London's The 02 in March.

He said: "It's going to be great when I walk about cos Vargas has never been in an atmosphere like that, he's gonna be like 'what is going on here. This is like a festival'.

"That's going to get to him, but it's going to be like that from now on whenever I fight when there's a crowd, my tune gets the crowd going and people want to see me fight.

"When they close the cage door it's only me and him in there so there's not much advantage at all, but I've always said I wanted to come out in the UK with my tune blasting and it's gonna happen.

"It's going to be the greatest entrance the UFC has ever seen, and it's not even a title fight or a contender fight. People are going to be talking about this entrance for the next 10, 20 years."
