Conor McGregor is totally unrecognisable in photos from his school days which show him sporting a blond bowl cut hair style.
'The Notorious' has transcended the sporting world in the past decade and his tattoos, short trim and lengthy beard mean he is immediately spotted by those who know him.
But long before he turned to the UFC, McGregor was just an innocent-looking youngster with a much lighter appearance.
In fact, his hair was so starkly bright that he earned the nickname 'Snowball' as a 10-year-old boy.
It's probably why he quickly adopted a shaven look when he began his MMA journey.
Entering a fight with a mushroom cut wouldn't have exactly struck fear into his opponents.
In the images McGregor looks as though he wouldn't harm a fly, but his demeanour changed when he took up combat sports training to defend himself against bullies.
“When I was really young, I felt like I needed to be able to defend myself," the Irishman has previously explained.
"So I thought, ‘I’m going to go and train, so if anyone says anything to me they’re going to know about it’. That’s how I started."

In one of the snaps, McGregor can be seen wearing the 1995/96 Manchester United grey away strip at his school's sports day.
His love of the football club has continued to burn strong since then and he even offered to buy them from the unpopular Glazer family last year.
What's more, he shared a heartfelt message on social media to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after he was sacked earlier this season.
Speaking about the throwback snap, McGregor told the SentataMMAShow: "It’s a funny picture with the blonde head on me. I am a handsome b****** if I do say so myself."
He also revealed that the United kit was bought with communion money.
Nowadays the 33-year-old can buy every footie shirt that he wants.
While he is likely to be seen sporting United's colours again, it's almost definite that his blond bowl cut is confided to the picture albums.
